Our client are a Design and Construct Interior fit out company of 10 people, based in North Sydney. Currently they are working on Tier 1 corporate and commercial fit outs and expanding in to the hospitality sector.
Historically they have outsourced their design work to Architectural practices in Sydney but they are looking to bring this role in house by employing a talented Designer. This is an integral role as you would be their only Interior Designer and as the company grows you would help build the team. With impressive profit figures over the last three years they have plans to grow significantly over the next three.
To be successful you will have a minimum of three years' experience, preferably with corporate fit out experience. You will be required to meet with the client, produce to scale floor plans based on the brief, select materials, colours and finishes and produce boards to present to the client. You will work on site communicating with the estimator, client and consultants to ensure a smooth delivery.
Both client facing skills and technical ability will be important. The role will be approximately 50% on site and 50% designing and producing documentation.
They are open to candidates with any CAD system as they will pay for the system that you use. They will also invest in you, providing you with the opportunity to go on courses and seminars.
The salary for this position will be $60K - $70K + super depending on skills and experience.
