We are currently recruiting for a rare opportunity to join a Design Studio who are going from strength to strength with a growing team and client base. This team are based in an inner city Suburb (East) with a speciality in retail design and delivery. They are hoping to find someone as passionate about retail design as they are to work as Studio manager in a diverse and fast-paced role. With some top, well known clients across Sydney, this emerging group are an absolute delight to work with! This role will require someone with the experience to manage staff on a day to day basis with excellent people skills. This team is made up of very down to earth people who do not take themselves too seriously, they work hard but also possess a good sense of humour!

You will be able to motivate and inspire staff members, making yourself the "go to" person in the office and encourage the development of junior staff. Matching responsibilities and duties to team members and making sure performance is assessed on a regular basis. You will also be involved in decision making processes with regards to recruitment.

Within this role, the Studio manger/Design lead will develop all resource plans to meet staffing, space and equipment requirements. Strong coordination skills and project management ability will be required. A background in retail design will be preferred and you will be expected to utilise your advanced technical expertise in order to achieve desired outcomes for these creative concepts.

You will have solid client liaison skills and will be involved with attending client meeting alongside Project managers where you may be involved in explanation of design intent and in working through various issues. In order to be considered for this role, you will hold a bachelor's Degree or equivalent in design, Architecture or related field and at least two years' experience working in retail design.

This is a Vectorworks environment so experience on this program will be desired. Salary for this lead role will range from $100k + Super and up depending on your suitability for the role and experience level.
