Welcome to the Sydney Market Update for Spring 2020. I thought it was high time that I brought you all up to date with what’s happening in the Architectural and Interior Design job markets here in Sydney!

The recent federal budget put forward by Josh Frydenberg echoed out what appears to be the tone for the rest of our States and Territories, JOBS, JOBS, and JOBS.

Early this month we sent out a short survey to hundreds (actually possibly thousands) of our Clients and Candidates – a few questions on how the global Pandemic has affected individuals or businesses within the Architecture and Design community – all with the aim of gaining a comprehensive insight into your experiences and sharing the results in what we hope will be an informative and of course interesting read..

The federal government has introduced the ‘Jobkeeper’ initiative, designed to assist employers retain staff where possible and offer financial support to workers.
